A weekend at the beach

Milla in polder girl dress

Since we live in San Francisco there had not been many weekends where we have not been at the beach. And as you might know, beach life here does not mean wearing a bikini, sunbathing and swimming. It is more about long, mostly windy and often foggy walks, breathing in the fresh air and enjoying the beauty of the powerful Pacific Ocean. For us these long walks at the beach with our daughter Milla and dog Charlie are like a therapy, they make us feel grateful and relaxed.

So this weekend was not much different from most of our weekends. And as most of the times I took some photos, just simple snapshots with my phone. Nevertheless I think they reflect Over The Ocean nearly as good as our official look pictures. So here are a few impressions...

On Saturday we invited some of Milla's friends to join us at Ocean Beach for a little Beach Party! We just set up a table and a picnic blanket, brought some snacks and drinks and let the kids run and play. The three big balloons showed our friends where to meet.

Milla is wearing one of her favorite outfits: the comfy linen tee from Le Petit Germain and the yellow pelota denim skirt. And because it is so fun and cool and glamorous - the yellow pelota head dress Luisa!

Sunday we went to Fort Funston Beach with our dog Charlie. We love this beach because it has some adventurous trails (especially during high tide) and dogs are allowed off-leash. The trail starts passing a large meadow and the colors matched so beautifully to Milla's dress from polder girl

The weather was... well, typical! Always take a sweater and maybe also some long pants!

TAO

Her sweater is from The Animals Observatory SS17 capsule collection and will be available starting tomorrow May 24th. This soft knitted sweater is ideal not only for San Francisco weather and much easier to take with you than a jacket! Plus, I love the lemon pattern. Do you also have the saying in English: 'sauer macht lustig'!? Sour makes silly, no?!

Have a good week - Memorial Day weekend is ahead, we will go camping and I will share some pictures of the trip on my instagram.

Grüsse, Birgit
